A Day at the Lake

Late August, we decided to take a trip down to the lake and get some ice cream. It was a bit windy... therefore, we lost Jack's hat to Lake Superior but Super-Daddy rescued it for us. We love our daddy :)

Started the day with story time in bed with daddy...

Went down to the Lake by Fitgers and Jack's hat flew right off!

taking a fare-well photo...

Jack and I went back up so that we didn't get burnt. Daddy stayed down. This is him after about 20 minutes waiting for the hat to wash ashore. YEAH! Dad is our hero.

Neglect

I realize that I have been very neglectful of blogging, but for good reason! My baby is 6 months as of yesterday and keeps me very busy.

A few updates:
- started sleeping better about 1 week ago when I decided getting up 7 to 8 times a night had to stop!
- is saying ma-ma-ma all of the time (which I love even though I know he doesn't know what it means yet)
- he sitting, rolling and creeping all over the place
- he loves his mama and wants to be near me all of the time
- we spend our day playing and trying to prepare meals most of the time
- we go on outings about 3 times a week to the library, barnes and noble storytime, or other events
- Summer flew by and I have tons of pictures to post, but probably won't get to most of them

I realize as a mother, I want to remember all of this, but what is a great way to do it without actually scrapbooking?? I am terrible at that and it is much too time consuming for me.

any ideas or ways that you preserve your memories besides blogging? I would like something to hold and remember as we go through life.
